It’s never too soon to start prepping for Christmas cards, and this amazing family was on top of it this spring. We gathered the kids and grandkids for a sweet mini session in Oakdale Park, and the results were priceless.

Mini sessions aren’t for every occasion, but this one was just right. Oakdale Park in Salina, KS was lush and green with the onset of springtime. It was a beautiful and sunny evening, and we made quick work of capturing some memories with these three generations.

There were smiles and there were laughs, and not captured was some hilarious attempts at skipping. Seriously, have you seen the videos of people trying to remember how to skip? Well, I am here to tell you, it’s even better in person.

We made quick work of getting some adorable pictures of this amazing grandma and her grandkids for their upcoming Christmas card, and got a few great shots of her son and daughter as well.

I was overly thankful for the gorgeous weather (you never know in Kansas). Lifestyle photography usually comes with lots of movement, so the heat can sometimes be a bit of a bother. But, this day proved to be just right. Low winds, bright skies, and mild temperatures. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day.

I adore working with families of all ages, and this family was no exception. Our sweet mini session was over before we knew it, but not before getting some amazing family photos that they can call cherish for the years to come.
